I’m a Friend (IAF) is set up to raise awareness on the issue of bullying and to hopefully give some comfort and support to people who have suffered at the hands of bullies. I’m a Friend asks you to simply wear or display the symbol, the friendly eye. In doing so, you are making a public statement that you are supporting the three core principles of IAF which are as follows:
1. I do not agree with bullying behaviour.
2. I do not accept that it is ok for others to bully me.
3. I will support the victims of bullying in whatever way I can.
The I’m a Friend symbol is available in many different forms to either wear or display on your personal belongings. By displaying the symbol you are showing solidarity with the victims of bullying AND you are inviting people who have bullied others in the past to live up to the ideals of I’m a Friend. Revenue from the sale of IAF merchandise will go towards publicising and promoting the initiative and ensuring that as many people as possible have an opportunity to become involved. Please join us in making this public and positive statement in relation to bullying.
